Warranty and Replacement Policy

All Yotobike bicycles are covered by our 2-year comprehensive manufacturer warranty, providing warranty coverage for all manufacturing defects to the owner. (All free accessories are not covered by the warranty service).
Warranty period and target audience terms
The warranty is automatically registered when the initial purchaser orders the product from our online store and receives it, and is only applicable to the initial purchaser.
Warranty transfer
The transferee of an electric bicycle is eligible for warranty service only if the following two conditions are met:
  1. The packaging has not expired within 2 years of the initial owner receiving the product.
  2. The new owner has the name of the initial purchaser and the original order number.
Covered products
Yotobike will replace any parts that are deemed defective or damaged (including damage during transport), but excluding user error. The scope of the warranty includes the listed products and follows the following terms.
Frame problems not covered by this warranty include but are not limited to:
  1. Corrosion
  2. Paint fading, scratches, and impact marks
  3. Impact damage
  4. Irreversible modifications (such as drilling or welding).
Battery
  1. The Yotobike battery has a 2-year proportional warranty period.
  2. During the first two years of service, defective batteries will be repaired or replaced free of charge. The warranty period for repaired or replaced batteries will remain the same as the original purchase date.
  3. No cash compensation will be provided.
This limited warranty does not include:
  1. Defects or damage caused by accidents, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities that do not conform to the expected use of the product), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquids, chemical contact, moisture, abrasives, sand, or dirt, negligence, or abnormal physical, electrical, or electromechanical stress.
  2. Defects or damage caused by unauthorized modifications.
  3. Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage, unless caused by Yotobike.
  4. The serial number or barcode of the product has been removed, soiled, damaged, altered, or made difficult to identify.
  5. Ordinary wear and tear.
  6. Defects or damage caused by the use of accessories, products, or peripheral devices not provided or approved by Yotobike for use with the product.
  7. Defects or damage caused by assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment of the product in a manner that differs from the assembly instructions or user manual.
  8. Defects or damage caused by external causes, such as collisions, fires, floods, wind, lightning, earthquakes, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses, or improper use of any power source.
  9. In addition, this limited warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by the following actions or conditions related to the battery:
  10. Charging the battery with a charger that is not intended or suitable for use with the battery.
  11. Improper use of the battery charger.
  12. If any sealing strip on the battery is broken or shows signs of tampering.
Parts and Components
Yotobike's original parts and components are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. (If the replacement of parts is required during the warranty period and more than 15 days have passed since receiving the bicycle, the shipping cost must be paid.)
This limited warranty does not cover:
  1. Parts corroded due to exposure to the environment (moisture, high temperature, etc.);
  2. Damage or deterioration of product surface treatment, appearance, or aesthetics;
  3. The warranty period for the frame, fork, handlebars, seatpost, saddle, brakes, headlights, crankset, pedals, rims, hubs, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD, kickstand, mirrors, and hardware is extended only within one week of receipt of goods. Parts damaged during use after seven days will be charged to the customer;
  4. Labor costs for parts replacement or replacement;
  5. Defects or damages caused by accidents, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities that do not conform to the expected use of the product), improper storage, exposure to liquid, chemicals, humidity, abrasives, sand, or dust, negligence, or abnormal physical, electrical, or mechanical stress;
  6. Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damages not caused by Yotobike;
  7. Serial numbers or barcodes that have been removed, soiled, damaged, altered, or made difficult to identify;
  8. Product defects or damages caused by the use of accessories, products, or peripheral devices not provided or approved by Yotobike;
  9. Defects or damages caused by the way the product is assembled, tested, operated, maintained, installed, serviced, repaired, or adjusted that does not conform to the assembly instructions or user manual;
  10. Defects or damages caused by external factors such as collision, fire, flood, wind, lightning, earthquake, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses, or improper use of any power source;
  11. Normal wear and tear that is not due to defects in workmanship or materials. Wear and tear can be evaluated by Yotobike. Parts that are typically not covered include, but are not limited to:
  12. Brake pads
  13. Rotors
  14. Spokes
  15. Tires/tubes
  16. Chains
  17. Chainrings
  18. Cassette
  19. Cranksets
Claim procedure All claims related to this warranty must be made through Yotobike and submitted to support@yotobike.com. Proof of purchase and photos or videos of the damaged product need to be submitted with any warranty requests. Before submitting a claim, we encourage you to contact us at support@yotobike.com, as your problem may have a simple solution that does not require a claim. Valid warranty claims made within two years of the initial purchase will be handled by Yotobike.
A deposit is required to replace the LCD display, motor, controller, and/or battery, and the deposit will be refunded in full after Yotobike receives the parts that need to be replaced.
Yotobike will not replace any parts until the photos or videos of the damaged product have been received via email from the customer.
Note: Yotobike will provide free components and replacement parts (excluding shipping costs), and any installation costs will not be covered by Yotobike without the authorization of the aftersales team.
Transport Damage Claims In rare cases, the received items may be damaged during transportation. If transportation damage occurs, please contact support@yotobike.com and provide us with photos or videos as proof.
If free accessories are scratched during transportation, they cannot be replaced or compensated for.
Note: We will not accept transport damage claims made more than 7 days after receiving any product.
All Yotobike bikes are covered under our 2-year, all-inclusive manufacturer's warranty for the owner against all manufacturing defects. (All free accessories are not covered by warranty service.)

WARRANTY PERIOD AND TARGET AUDIENCE TERMS

WARRANTY TRANSFER

The ebike transferee can only benefit from the warranty when both of these conditions are met:
  1. The 2-year package hasn't expired since the initial owner has received it;
  2. The new owner has the initial purchaser’s name and the original order number.

COVERED PRODUCTS

Yotobike will replace any component that is deemed to be defective or damaged (including damage incurred during shipment), except in case of user error. The warranty covers the listed products and follows the terms below.

Frame issues excluded from this warranty include but are not limited to:

  1. Corrosion
  2. Paint fade, scratches, and impact marks
  3. Impact damage
  4. Non-reversible modification (such as drilling or welding)

Batteries

  1. Yotobike batteries are covered by a 2-year prorated warranty.
  2. During the first 2 years of service – A defective battery will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer. The warranty period for a repaired or replaced battery will remain unchanged from the original purchase date.
  3. No cash reimbursement will be made.

This limited warranty does not cover

  1. Defects or damage resulting from accidents, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the Products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemical exposure, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electricalor electromechanical stress;
  2. Defects or damage caused by private modification;
  3. Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage, unless caused by Yotobike;
  4. Products that have the serial number or bar-code removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or made illegible;
  5. Ordinary wear and tear;
  6. Defects or damage to the Products caused by the use of accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment not furnished or approved by Yotobikeoebike for the Products;
  7. Defects or damage caused by the assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment of the Products in a manner that varies from the Assembly Instructions or Owner's Manual;
  8. Defects or damage resulting from external causes such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorms, lightning, earthquakes, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses, or improper use of any electrical source.
  9. In addition, with respect to the battery, this Limited Warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from following actions or situations:
    1. Charging with a battery charger not intended or appropriate for use with the Battery;
    2. Using a battery charger improperly;
    3. If any of the seals on the battery are broken or show evidence of tampering;
Parts & Components
Original Yotobike parts and components are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. (If more than 15 days have passed since the date of receipt of the bike, the replacement of parts within the warranty period will require shipping costs.)
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
  1. Parts compromised by corrosion due to exposure to the elements (moisture, heat, etc.);
  2. Damage or deterioration of the surface finish, appearance, or aesthetics of the product;
  3. The Warranty of the frame, forks, handlebar, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, crank-set, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD, kickstand, reflectors, and hardware only extendsone week after receiving the goods. Parts damaged during use after seven days will be charged to the customer;
  4. Labor charges for part replacement or changeover;
  5. Defects or damage resulting from accidents, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the Products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress;
  6. Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage not caused by Yotobike;
  7. Products with the serial number or bar-code removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or made illegible;
  8. Defects or damage to the Products caused by the use of accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment not furnished or approved by Yotobike for the Products;
  9. Defects or damage caused by improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment in a manner that varies from the Assembly Instructions or Owner's Manual;
  10. Defects or damage resulting from external causes, such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorms, lightning, earthquakes, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses, or improper use of any electrical source.
  11. Ordinary wear and tear does not result from defects in workmanship or materials. Wear and tear can be assessed by Yotobike. Parts not typically covered include but are not limited to:
    1. Brake pads
    2. Rotors
    3. spokes
    4. Tires/tubes
    5. Chains
    6. Chain rings
    7. Cassettes
    8. Crank-set
CLAIMS PROCESS

Warranty Claims

All claims to this warranty must be made through Yotobike and submitted to support@yotobike.com. Proof of purchase and photos or videos of the damaged product is required to be submitted alongside any warranty request. Before making a warranty claim, you are encouraged to contact Yotobike via support@yotobike.com, as there may be a simple fix for your problem that does not necessitate filing a claim. Valid warranty claims made within 2 years of initial purchase will be processed through Yotobike.
A deposit is required to replace the LCD display, motor, controller, and/or battery, which will be refunded in full upon receival by Yotobike of the parts that need to be replaced.
Yotobike will not replace any part without first seeing photos or video of the damaged product. Customers must provide this evidence by email.
Attention: Yotobike will offer free components and replacement parts (while shipping fees are not included), and any installation fees will not be covered by Yotobike without the after-sales team’s authorization.
Shipping Damage Claims
In rare instances, the item received may be damaged during transportation. If shipping damage occurs, please contact
support@yotobike.com and provide us with photo or video proof.
No free accessories are eligible for replacement or compensation if they are scratched during transportation.
NOTICE: We will not accept shipping damage claims filed more than 7 days after receipt of any products.
